More about the slip

Carlisle’s Caretaking

Caretakers to the Landed Gentry

  Dear Sir,

In accordance with the terms of our contract with your company, we regret to advise that a slip has occurred on the main access track of your estate.             We were alerted to the situation by Noddy Notices (a division of Nodwell Enterprises);  apparently Mr Nodwell frequently gazes vacantly out of his window, and in so doing yesterday, noticed the slip.

Together with Mr Nodwell, we immediately carried out an in situ inspection this afternoon;  we found a substantial amount of recent fill had slipped from just below the new piece of track, about 65m below the deer gate by the shed.   The track itself is not affected.

We attach photographs:  1) of the back of Mr Nodwell’s head (one of his better features we think) as he gazes towards his opulent house;   2)  another shot of the back of Mr Nodwell’s head (see comment above) as he gazes down on the slip;  3)  a shot of the slip from below which shows that the slip did not descend onto the road below.

 We remain Sir, yours faithfully,

 Carlisle’s Caretaking

Bee Hives

Steve West the Beekeeper will be moving hives onto the site from Monday the 29th of November until Friday the 3rd of December. Most of the work will carried out at night so it may be best to cease all spotlighting for that period, apart from that Steve will also need to make some day trips to the block to fit additional honey boxes. At no time will they venture far from the ute. If anyone is interested in seeing how it is done I am sure that Steve would be more than happy to show you how it is done. I am looking forward to seeing those that can make it on Saturday night and to those that can’t I wish you a safe & happy Christmas and have a great new year. From CJ.

slip on the track

hey everyone – just a message from CJ – there is a slip on the track – if you are next to head up to the block, please take a spade with you. Thanks

Hey guys, heres the floor plan.

When Steve was at the Block last he took some soil Samples for possible future fertiliser and sent them away to get tested. Recomendations from the soil report:

250kg/ha Superphosphate/yr

100kg/ha Urea  in Autumn/spring

Buildings For Hunting Block

Hi guys John and myself have made a few changes to the camp set up. We felt that the containers were a little bit budget, so have come up with the idea of timber cabins, still in the same layout as the plan you all received with the containers. We have put pricing together and can still build them within the $50000 allocation, but this means we will be building them on site instead of in Hamilton. We will need trailers to get the materials to the block once the driveway is completed and help to build them.. These cabins will be in keeping with the natural surroundings and therefore look the part. I have attached  photos of different cabins(portacoms) that I built a few years ago now to give you an idea. These are very basic and quick to build.
Please give me a call if anybody has any concerns about what we are doing because we all need to be happy and confident that this is right the way to go.
Cheers Mike 0275977911 or 8568585
